This heat pack is ideal for joints - wrists, elbows, knees and ankles. It is also used for heating up both sides of the hands, excellent for tennis elbow and arthritis or smaller people and great on the abdomen.
Therapeutic benefits with this self-heating health pack - contains a non-toxic saline solution which heats to a safe 52°C in a matter of seconds when activated by a aluminium button.
How Does it Work?
By flexing the Aluminium button back and forth, the friction causes a catalyst that creates a heating reaction to the liquefied sodium acetate solution. The heat pack will generate heat from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
As the heat pack cools, it will become solid. To reset it, ready to use again, simply place the heat pack into a pot of boiling water and continuously boil in the pot for 5-15 minutes, until it becomes completely liquefied. Remove from the boiling water and use immediately (wrap in a towel like a hot water bottle), or cool ready to be reactivated when needed.
You get approximately 5 years use or approximately 500 hundred clicks from each pack.
The pack can also be used as a cold pack by storing in the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour (DO NOT FREEZE)
