Uniting in posture with a friend, lover or someone you have just met deepens our understanding of yoga and our awareness of others. Yoga is a form of bonding with the self and the world. Yoga-ing with a partner - breathing together, guiding and supporting one another - is a creative and playful journey that connects us to each other in the present moment.
As with the other books in this series, each posture gets a two page spread with a stunning and easy to follow photograph. First the name of the posture is introduced in Sanskrit (the ancient Indian language that today many western teaches still use to refer to the name of the postures in a class) with an English translation. There is a step-by-step guide to getting into the posture; how to breathe; what areas to focus on; how long to hold in the posture; precautions to take; variations and a list of the physical, emotional and mental benefits gained through the practice of the posture.
