Weleda Cough Elixir is made from a combination of biodynamic, organic and wild harvested herbs including soothing Marshmallow root, Aniseed and Drosera (Sundew) combined with expectorant Marrubium, Plantain and Thyme, and homeopathic Ipecacuanha and Pulsatilla.
Weleda Organic Cough Elixir is manufactured using traditional herbal methods over three days. The dried herbs are soaked for 12 hours, and then boiled as a decoction. Raw sugar and malt are added to produce a syrup, and upon cooling the homoeopathic liquids are added. After filtering, it is bottled and pasteurised. The raw sugar softens the herbal taste and acts as a preservative.
Althaea, Pimpinella, Drosera and Homoeopathic Ipecacuanha: Help soothe irritated mucous membranes in the throat and chest by reducing inflammation and relaxing constricted muscles.
Plantain, Thymus and Marrubium: help to break up and eliminate mucous.

Directions for use:
Take one 5ml teaspoon (child) or two 5ml teaspoons (adult) in warm water up to every two or three hours, or as directed by your health care professional. reduce the frequency of doses and then stop taking the remedy as relief is obtained.
