The Beaches of Byron Bay are one of the main attractions. If you are a surfer, swimmer, walker or just a beach lover, Byron's beaches are sure to satisfy you.  If diving is for you, Julian Rocks is a world famous marine reserve and dive site located a short distance off Cape Byron. National Parks and Reserves offer spectacular outdoor options to explore and the Byron Bay Lighthouse is a must-see attraction and a feature seen sitting atop Cape Byron from all over the region.

If you visit Byron Bay between the months of June to late September, be sure to visit the lighthouse for some whale watching.  Off Byron Bay the Southern Hemisphere Humpback whales can be seen. During the southern summer, they spend their time in Antarctica feeding grounds and then move up to the warmer waters for breeding and calving.
